Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to use a repair shop from the list my insurance company provided?
No. There is no law requiring an insurance company to direct any insured vehicle to a particular repair facility, therefore you are able to have repairs done at a facility of your choosing.
What if my insurance estimate is less than your quote?
It is very common for an insurance company preliminary estimate to be less than the actual cost. Once the vehicle is first disassembled and then gone over much more thoroughly than for the preliminary estimate. We then contact the appraiser, who will come out to the shop and prepare a supplement. The supplement will be covered by the insurance company and paid to the repair shop per a Supplement Payment Direction Form signed by the insured and forwarded to the claims handler.
On my insurance appraisal there is an area citing a betterment charge due by me. What is a betterment?
Betterments are the wearable portion of a part being replaced. If a particular part is found to be 50% worn, an insurance company will only pay for the portion that is not worn. (i.e. tires, exhaust systems, brake pads, etc)
What kind of guarantee/warrantee do you offer?
All repairs come with a full "length of ownership" warranty.
